| ITMF is one of the oldest international associations that represent the textile industry in the world.
ITMF was founded in 1904, at a meeting held in Zürich-Switzerland and convened at the initiative of the British cotton spinning industry.
In 1963, the Federation moved its headquarters from Manchester-England to Zürich-Switzerland for the purpose of facilitating international contacts and improving administrative services and communications.
ITMF is a global, international federation for the world’s textile industries.
In 1974, Turkish Textile Employers’ Association (TTSIS) became a member of ITMF.
TTSIS Chairman of the Board, Halit NARIN has been appointed Honorary Life Member of the Federation in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the Federation during his six years of service as ITMF Vice President (2004-2008) and ITMF President (2008-2010).
