Information Technology Classes Project TTSIS donated 42.000 computers in 55 cities and showed the importance it places on education. Employment has been an important factor for Turkey Textile Industry Employers Trade Union since the establishment until the present day. Importance of human which is the core of employment case, has highlighted the need for staffs who developed in the improving world conditions and powerful competing environment and who know about the technological innovations. Under the light of all these changes, as a union, with the belief that the best investment for Turkey’s future is to train a youth qualified in a wide range of qualifications, the principle of supporting educational projects has been conserved and invigorated. In this context, our educational services reached its climax with ministry of education’s “Support to Education with Computer” campaign. Our General Shareholder’s meeting had two extraordinary sessions just for this purpose and agreed on the construction of 2.000 technology classes, anticipating this honourable and visionaire project to be completed at its best. Our trade union earmarked the largest fund for the “Support to Education with Computer”campaign. Project was launched with a signing ceremony in which prime minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, ministry of education Hüseyin Çelik and our Trade union chairman Halit Narin participated. Protocol signing ceremony August 13, 2005 In the first stage of the project, 1.036 informatiion technology classes with 21.000 computers were donated in 18 cities. In Computer Technology classes 20 student and 1 teacher computer, printer, scanner, projection apparatus are in service and all the basic facilities of the classes including electricity and data cables are procured by TTSIS. In the first stage, cities with Technology classes were: Adana, Osmaniye, Antalya, Denizli, Muğla, edirne, Kırklareli, Tekirdağ, Kastamonu, Sinop, Konya, Elazığ, Malatya, Sivas, Van, Afyon, İzmir and Ankara. Second stage of the project was initiated in 2006 and made progress in a short time. IN the second stage, 985 Informatics Technology classed with 21.000 computers were established in 37 cities. Our cities in which Technlolgy classes were established in the second stage are: Ankara, Aydın, Burdur, Gaziantep, Iğdır, Kahramanmaraş, Karabük, Karaman, Kars, Kırıkkale, Kilis, Malatya, Mersin, Muş, Osmaniye, Giresun, Rize, Samsun, Kastamonu, Kırşehir, Aksaray, Amasya, Bolu, Çankırı, Düzce, Edirne, Elazığ, Erzincan, Isparta, Kayseri, Kırklareli, Mardin, Muğla, Nevşehir, Sivas, Tokat and Uşak. Our trade union has supported the modern education in Turkey by helping the students in primary schools make use of the informatics technologies with this project. |
