Within its first year of service, the union provided many valuable services and created the platform for collaboration in the world of Turkish textiles. The significance of having this type of an association in Istanbul signaled the need for similar services nationwide. On February 13, 1962, shortly after its first year anniversary, the association was renamed as the ‘Turkish Textile Employers’ Association’ and starting making its services available to all the textile employers in Turkey.
